Quantum Devices, Inc. developed the HEALS® (High Emissivity Aluminiferous Luminescent Substrate) technology for NASA under a Small Business Innovative Research grant (SBIR). This technology is what allows Quantum Devices to reach the LED power levels of 60mW/cm2 of energy that research shows is most beneficial for pain management. Although our competitors like to link to PR generated by NASA and other sources regarding the technology in order to gain credibility, it is important to remember that the WARP 10® is the only FDA cleared for market device that utilizes the HEALS® technology developed for and used by NASA and DARPA. The WARP 10® operates at 670nm emitting 50-mW/cm2 constant wave (CW) giving you 4-joules of energy, with a total fluence of .5 Watts. The WARP 10 has a built-in precision timer and will shut off after 88 seconds. The device has a Thermal Heat Sync unit (our patented HEALS® Technology) that will not allow the device to operate over 42 degrees Celsius (42 C ==> 107.6 F==>the point of tissue damage).
The MAHA Recharger and 8-AA NiMH Rechargeable batteries is rated #1 for rechargers on the market today! You can charge your batteries in 100 minutes or you can do a soft charge of 4 hours to extend your battery life. If you have some batteries that are not holding their charge properly you also have a built in reconditioner. But don’t over use it! You’ll burn up your batteries much too fast! The charger will accomodate any AA-NiMH standard rechargeable batteries.
This case is nicely padded and has removeable tabs to adjust the inside fit. There is extra pockets to hold a spare set of batteries and perhaps alcohol pads. If you prefer a shoulder strap there is one included inside the case. You even have room for a small camera!
The wrap is made out of neoprene and is designed to hold the WARP 10 to assist in treatment of hard to reach areas.There is an extension band included for extra large bodies.
